We break the idea into parts, find a workable technical approach and define a realistic delivery plan.
When the idea is bold, the execution must be solid
Special Concepts is not a catalogue of effects — it’s a way of working. I support producers, creative teams and agencies in turning unconventional ideas into real-world delivery by combining creative thinking, technical understanding and the right people.
My role is to strengthen the producer or lead creative: I bring options, evaluate feasibility, risks and resources, and help build the delivery team. You lead the vision — I help ensure it works in real conditions, on schedule and safely.
In practice, I help with:
- concept sparring and creative development (what to do — and how)
- feasibility, resources and risk management (before committing)
- integrating show elements: water, fire, pyro, lighting, mechanics and projection
- safety and compliance as part of the design process
- bringing together the right partners, vendors and specialists
When it helps to bring me in
I’m often called in when the idea is exciting — but the project needs structure, certainty and the right execution path.
Risk management and requirements are built into the design — not added at the last minute.
I help assemble the right specialists and ensure the interfaces between teams work.
Practical, clear and production-friendly
I’m not here to take creative leadership away from the producer or designer. I support the process by bringing clarity, options and confidence to execution.
What should the audience feel — and what does it require from space, technology and safety?
Choose the technical approach, define responsibilities and schedule, and run a risk review early.
Coordination through design, testing, rehearsals and on-site operation.
Let’s talk about your project
Tell me briefly what you are planning — an event concept, special effects, water show, project coordination or something else. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible and we’ll find the right way forward.
