To celebrate Imatra Day, a striking Dancing Fountains water show was presented from the crest of the Imatrankoski dam. The dramatic landscape, powerful rapids and lighting formed a memorable visual experience, enhanced with pyrotechnics. The nearly 15-minute performance consisted of multiple segments and was set to Whitewater Symphony, a composition created specifically for the Imatrankoski rapids show.
Dancing Fountains has a long tradition of productions in Finnish national landscapes, including the Porvoonjokilaakso river valley, Tapiola and Tammerkoski. This time, the list expanded to Imatrankoski, one of Finland’s most iconic and historic tourist attractions. As the water show could not be placed directly in the rapids, the installation was built on top of the dam. The dramatic landscape and the sound of the rushing water provided a powerful backdrop for the performance. To ensure the water show stood out alongside the large-scale rapids display, pyrotechnics were integrated into the design.

Fireworks smoke formed a spectacular element in the water show lights and enhanced the show's visual appeal.
There is a video of this implementation on the Dancing Fountains YouTube channel.
